Job Title: Conveyancing Manager
Location: Redditch
Salary: Up to £55,000 a year
Additional pay: Bonus scheme
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Are you an experienced Conveyancer or qualified Solicitor looking to join a forward-thinking firm that genuinely values work-life balance?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious team, with the potential to progress to Director level and shape the future of the firm.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead and manage a close-knit team handling residential property transactions from instruction through to post-completion. While you’ll also manage your own caseload (kept at a sensible level), the role is primarily focused on team leadership and operational oversight.
Key responsibilities include:
Team & Operational Leadership
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the conveyancing department
• Supervise, mentor, and support team members (both office-based and remote)
• Manage internal systems and workflows to drive efficiency
• Foster a positive, collaborative culture
• Approve files and ensure legal standards are met
• Identify and manage risks, escalating to the HOLP as necessary
Legal Work & Compliance
• Draft, review, and manage documents for residential sales and purchases
• Conduct due diligence: carry out searches, verify titles, and spot red flags
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
• Ensure files are compliant and transactions meet all regulatory requirements
Financial & Post-Completion
• Prepare financial statements and manage payments
• Coordinate with lenders, including Help to Buy
• Handle stamp duty, Land Registry submissions, retentions, and file closures
What we’re looking for
We welcome applications from qualified Solicitors, Licensed Conveyancers, or Chartered Legal Executives (CILEx) with strong residential conveyancing experience.
You should have:
• At least 5 years’ experience managing your own caseload
• Expertise in freehold, leasehold, new build, and shared ownership transactions
• A proactive, solution-focused mindset
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisation skills
• A commitment to delivering exceptional client care
• Availability to work full-time from our Redditch office
If you're looking for more than just a job — if you want to join a firm that values your input and supports your growth — we'd love to hear from you.
