I am working with a very valued client of mine, a prominent Irish construction and development company, who is looking for an Estimator / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Naas.

Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for residential and hotel projects, ensuring all aspects of the project are considered.
Tender Preparation: Assist in the preparation of tender documents, bills of quantities, and other necessary documentation for bidding processes.
Contract Administration: Support the management of contracts, including assessing and processing variations, progress payments, and final accounts.
Budget Management: Monitor project expenditures and progress, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and financial objectives.
Supplier and Subcontractor Engagement: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and negotiate favorable terms.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate financial and operational impacts.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost forecasting and project planning.
The Ideal Candidate:
Educational Background: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: Previous experience in estimating or quantity surveying within the construction industry, particularly in residential and hospitality sectors.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with industry-standard estimating software and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Analytical Skills: Exceptional numerical and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with various stakeholders.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
