Role Overview Oakmans is seeking an organized, customer-focused Property Manager to oversee and maintain a portfolio of residential and/or commercial properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day property operations, tenant relations, maintenance coordination, and ensuring properties meet legal and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of properties, handling tenant queries and acting as the primary point of contact.

  • Coordinate property inspections, routine maintenance, repairs and improvements with contractors and suppliers.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant property legislation, health and safety requirements, and company policies.

  • Handle tenancy agreements, renewals, deposit management and any relevant documentation.

  • Monitor rent collection, chase arrears and liaise with finance team to reconcile accounts.

  • Prepare property reports, keep accurate records and maintain up-to-date files for each property.

  • Conduct regular site visits and respond to emergency call-outs as required.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, landlords and third-party service providers to deliver high-quality service.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in property management, estate agency, lettings or a related field is desirable.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident handling tenant and landlord enquiries.

  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.

  • Basic understanding of property legislation, health & safety and tenancy regulations.

  • Competent with IT systems and property management software; proficient in MS Office.

  • Problem-solving attitude and ability to manage contractors and oversee maintenance projects.
